Rejection

What is it about the reality of rejection in our lives?  I remember the first time I was rejected.  It was in 5th grade.  I asked my neighbor during our school recess if I could join her group.  She had to asked her "group leader" to see if it was okay.  They voted no...ridiculous right?  But I can still remember those feelings and looking at my neighbor and seeing how she didn't want to say no...but the cool kids (which she was one of) had to remain cool.

The most recent rejection was a bit more intense...yet more subtle.  It caused me to be reminded that Jesus was rejected more than any one of us.  So the next time I get frustrated about feeling rejected...I need only be reminded that the Lord knows exactly where I'm coming from...and He did it knowing that He would be rejected, by God the Father...and many of those He created!

Quite the perspective to change the self-pitty moment...

Hebrews 4:14-16 (New American Standard Bible)

14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
16Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Beginning to Blog

I never thought I would become a blogger. I enjoy interacting with other people...reading other's information, but never really thought that others would be interested in my thoughts.

I'm using this blog as opportunity to write thoughts down that I don't really want to say to anyone in particular (aside from God), but I see the need to write it to someone.

I hope as you view and interact with this blog that Psalm 37:4 would ring true.  This comes from the Bible, the version I'm typing is New American Standard Version
"Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart."

So enjoy...give feedback...and thanks for reading.
